What Is TegCampus?

TegCampus is the first technological event in Equatorial Guinea which arose within the framework of GITGE’s Corporate Social Responsibility activities.

It’s not limited to the development of technology through training and contests of talented young people, but also aims to create an experience for all those who participate in the event. For this reason, during the TegCampus days workshops, panels, talks, ideas contests, entrepreneurship training, video game contests and a space for entertainment are offered. One of the highlights of the event is the commitment to the mission of including women in the technology sector, calling for the participation of women with innovative ideas to lead this change and eradicate child labor.

TegCampus also has the mission of educating all audiences about the knowledge of ICT and the benefits of digitization, which plays a transversal role in all sectors of our society.

Message from the president of the TegCampus Organizing Committee

I have been asked several times, why have we started the TegCampus? The answer has always been very clear: with an entire generation of young people immersed in the digital era, it was necessary to go beyond traditional education and events organized in the country. I always believed that these young people should have more opportunities in technology, a sector that in addition to being very promising, seeks to encourage talent and innovation.

Added to that, I think that promoting STEM science and education is a guarantee of economic prosperity for our country. The African market has emerged as a world power with attractive business opportunities for companies in Tech and in some years, we will be the largest market in the world. Technological education has never been so important.

Since the first edition of the TegCampus, the interest of young people in technology became evident and, thanks to the advance of this community we created, we have realized that we have to give them the opportunity and also prepare them to work and live in this world. We need to take care of this generation. Only they can lead the economic and social transformations of the changing environment that we currently live in.
